as i look to the sky
and i remember God
i only pray that i
may know why i love
what qualities am i looking for
is it physical beauty or is it something more
i've always known that i
saw something in the smile
something about the eyes
that made it all worth while
but never could i grasp
any reasons or explanations
to show why i had
these feelings of inclinations
it made it hard for me to see
what was real and what was dream
so for a while i set myself free
until that day i'd understand loves theme
i feel that now i've come across
an answer to this, at least for my own life
as i sat and remembered the cross
i remembered this, when i look at her, i look at Christ
it's that love for christ she has inside
that makes her eyes beautiful to mine
and in her smile you can feel her joy
as her trust in Christ reflects in poise
the confidence she has in life
result from accomplishments she has in Christ
the fruit of the Spirit, i see in her
she who does not fear it my heart prefers

rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves - 1Peter 3:3-5
