The other day I heard a comedian on TV talking about having a flower bed done in front of his house. He was all upset that the gardener planted some dead trees in his garden. When questioning the man, the gardener went over to the trees and scratch the bottom of them with his tumb nail and said, "If you look and see they are alive in the inside." The comedain came back pretty quick with that he didn't care if they where alive on the inside he wanted the side that everybody sees to look alive.
Well I got to thinking about that and realized that there are a lot of Christians that are like those trees. To look at the life they look just like the rest of the world (the Bible calls non-christians dead). The only way to tell they are Christians is from the inside, in other words if you pressure them (scratch) they will tell you they are christians. I am like the comedian I want to see some trees that are alive. How is this for a thought maybe even producing fruit. There is enough dead trees in the church.
