In Mexico
As a lot of u know, I went 2 Mexico 3 days after Christmas. We went on a mission's trip to Rocky Pointe. Well, we had "base camp" at an R.V. park. The girl's slept in cabins provided by the park and the guys slept in tents. lol Anyway, u would expect Mexico to be warm right? Well, it was cold. We had lots of wind and it was just flat out cold. Great food though (especially the home-made Mexican tortillas!!!!!!) Well, we went to the indians who lived there 1st. The indians in Mexico are considered the lowest of the low. We handed out gifts and made hot dogs for them to eat. We sang and had a play/drama for them to enjoy. We also had a message and a pinata!!!! Well, there were a lot of them there and we prayed for many of them. I was exhausted by the end of the day. What's funny is, that was just the 1st day!!! On the second day, we did the same thing only we went to a church in town and witnessed to the actual Mexicans. Not the indians, but the Mexicans. They were also very wonderful. They played lots of soccer with us. I met many children and I taught them how o play Go-Fish and other simple games from America. They were thrilled!!!! Wow. It was just an amazing experience. We went to the beach twice and we even went shopping on the last day we were there. God really did work in my life. he opened my eyes to the world and its suffering. It was my 1st mission's trip ever. I'll never forget it. I have so many picures too.
