I went to a church this weekend on our vacation. During the worship part of the service the worship leader gave us the freedom to stand or sit or kneel. Everyone except Mike and I sat down. Much to my dismay the last "worship" song was America the beautiful. First of all it has nothing to do with worshipping God , second EVERYONE stood up and sang with out loudly! Now, am I the only one who thinks that worship of God should be more important, more heartfelt, and the only worship that should be happening in a Sunday morning church service? I appreciate the country that I happen to have been born in, but Jesus made me free not 'America the beautiful'. I would love to read your comments.
