Hey! I've never been in a dating relationship before, but I have lots of friends who have, so I have picked up many different pieces of dating advice and stuff from them. One thing I have heard from many of my friends and from other people that I know, is that long distance relationships hardly ever work. I think they can put a huge strain on both parties involved in the relationship and you have no real way of making sure the other person is being faithful to you. Plus, if the other person didn't live anywhere near you and couldn't afford to travel out there that much, then how would you see them and wouldn't you loose interest in the relationship after a while? I have heard of some long distance relationships working, but most don't, even if the other person only lives an hour away from you. I personally wouldn't reccomend a long distance relationship, but it is really up to you, to your boyfriend, and to God. If it is in God's will, then the relationship with your boyfriend will work! I don't know any scripture that can help you (hopefully someone else does) except for that verse in Song of Songs that says "do not awaken love until it so desires." I don't know if that applies to you or not, but it was the only one I could think of at the moment. I even used to have a HUGE crush on this guy that lived a long ways away from me, but I had to give it up, 'cause I would only get to see him once a year and he lived to far away (he lives in Texas and I live in Washington and I met him at an event my church does that his church helps out with). I would pray to God and ask him to reveal to you what His will is for you and your boyfriend. I hope I helped you! God Bless you!
