All he's saying is that this eyeliner stuff is strangely reminiscent of what POP groups are known to do. "Because that's what punks do"? Real punk of them, wearing eyeliner just because other people do. Also I like how you say Green Day's political messages aren't bad because you can think of someone worse. Congratulations, someone's agenda is worse than Green Day's. This doesn't somehow make them not bad.
