I don't know too many Kevin Max fans, but I personally love his solo stuff. I think he's far and away the most creative and possibly the most talented member of dc Talk. I saw his Christmas album in the store the other day and it was all I could do not to pick it up (I was shopping for my family, not for myself). If it had original songs on it I might have grabbed it anyway. I usually don't like Christmas albums but I think Kevin's voice would have made it quite listenable. Anyway, feel free to discuss if you also like Kevin, the underrated underappreciated dc talker. Of course I realize there will be dissenters and I won't try to stop you from posting - Kevin's music is to some an aquired taste, I understand. Still, though, to anyone who hasn't heard him, I highly recommend his "The Imposter" CD. It's really good and also a lot more accessible than his first release "Stereotype Be." If you didn't like that record, still check out the new one because it's a lot different. It's less ecclectic and has a more solid pop/rock approach, the kind of thing that could be played by a four or five piece band. It's probably my favorite CD of the year.
