BrotherReed:
1). I hate twangy, drawling vocals. I\'m surrounded by people who couldn\'t be bothered to speak the English language correctly. It\'s lazy and it sounds unintelligent. Country music makes it seem cool and acceptable, and I find it offensive. 2). I hate the sound of a steel guitar. Even more than number 1, this is purely a personal preference. I just don\'t like it, and it sems to be a mainstay of country. 3). Country musicians, much like rappers, seem to have a fixation with singing about the \"country\" way of life. Trucks, dogs, cabins, hunting, beer... and it\'s all so cliche and repetative, and often cheesy. I find that with most popular country sounds I can finish the lines for them the first time I hear the song. It\'s predictable and boring. Plus, I don\'t sympathize with farming and all that. I\'m a city boy at heart. Like with any genre there are good songs and talented people. I have reaons why country music is okay, too, but you asked what my problem was. That\'s pretty much it.
