Hey. I'm doing cross country, and while the season only started about four days ago, I'm starting to feel the strain. Badly. I'm the slowest person on the team. By a lot. (Ten minutes, I'm sure) This fact alone is weighing down my self-esteem and this morning at practice I fell behind and started to cry because I couldn't keep up. Eventually I got my head back and started to jog again, but it took probably five minutes before I finally caught up with my group. And I fell behind again. My coach pushes us really hard with sprints, sit ups, and push ups for our cool down. So when I finally start the walk home, my legs feel like they're made of lead. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to help my self-esteem, and to make the soreness and pain in my legs go away, cause I'm sure that's slowing me down as well. Please help and thanks for any advice.
