Hello, all. I just recently read Matthew 22, and I'm not going to lie, it sort of rubbed me wrong. However, I don't like not understanding scripture, and I'm not one to just brush it aside, so I figured maybe you guys have some thoughts on the issue. So basically, this "Parable of the Wedding Banquet" seems all good and consistent with Jesus' other teachings on the kingdom, all the way up until the very last section. Go ahead and read it for yourselves: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew%2022:1-14;&version=31; Why am I getting the feeling that this man who was thrown out didn't deserve such harsh treatment? Didn't he respond to the King's call just as the other people from the street did? How were they any more justified in being there than he? Does this particular section of Jesus' teaching support full-out predestination in that this man simply "wasn't chosen"?
