Well... it seems that I am up against the Twin Towers here. (FYI - Joshua and Justin Holmes are twins) Josh, I would almost be okay with your post. I think that you are on track for the most part. However, you can not say that Scripture was not \"word for word\" inspired. I agree that maybe as the authors wrote it, they did not even realize that they were being guided by the Holy Spirit. I have been used by God in situations where I did not even realize that He was using me, although I only wrote the first book of the New Testament :) JK So, yes, the authors may not have known that they were being guided by Him. However, the real question here is \"WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?!!!??\" Are we talking about the Bible as we know it today? What version? What language? Are we talking about the original text? -We don\'t even have all the original text Are there errors in translations? Sure there are! (Except for the KJV). Are there errors in the original texts, well, that would mean that God Himself were fallible, so if you believe in a Sovereign God, then it is impossible. If, however, you reject a Sovereign God, then you can start believing and saying anything you want. B) -Matt
