OMG!!! I Luv the violin!!! I like Baroque music and of corse classical...omg the romantic stuff is awesome too! I am playing the Accolay concerto right now and it is romantic...i luv it! My violin is 303 years old so when the era changed, the violins neck was the Baroque style, so some violin maker had to put a new neck on it so it would be playable in the modern ages! I named my violin Earl because my violin is old and that name is old...haha, fits huh! =P Oh, sorry I am not helping... Um...when you start a new piece, it really helps to listen to a cd of that music, ya know, to get a good idea of how to play it. At Barns and Noble they will surely have something good and they have head phones so you can listen to the cd before you buy it!! Also, being able to sight read music well is very important, expecially if you want to be in orchestra/syphony so when you are done practicing your violin homework, then you can pull something out and start sight reading. Some good, cheap, sight reading stuff can be from the thrift store, or even from a Hymnal. I hope this helps a little and if you need any advice i\'ll try to help, but I am not very good at giving tips or anything! -Alicia =)
