Yah, I got a glance at the jazz piano player's music (I got accepted. :D) and all I could think was, "Holy crap! What have I signed up for?!" And right now, I suck at jazz trombone. I didn't practice enough this summer, and I can't make my arm move fast enough to the tempo.

Jazz has to be my favorite type of music. Just got a new Ella Fitzgerald c-d (well, not [i]new[/i] I guess). Bobby Darin, Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland - all of the old greats. It's funny, 'cause you can't find hardly anyone young who really likes that stuff anymore. Swing and Big Band's my favorite

Because it wasn't filled with swearing and drugs and political views, when it fact, when this music they think is horrible, was the biggest thing ever in its era.
