I know! Poor John (even if I don't like him all that much). See, I always thought that Jack's dad being on the island was just the smoke monster. But now I guess he's Jacob. So Christian Shepard is Jacob. Or is he? Is Christian Shepard REALLY Jacob? Or does Jacob just choose to make himself look like Christian? That's what I want to know. And you know what else I want to know? WHERE THE HECK IS CLAIRE????? I can't wait til Wednesday!

Yeah. The only problem I had with it (and this might get a little confusing but...) Didn't Daniel say that you can't change things that already happened? That time is like a string -- you can go forward or backwards but you can't change the string? So if Jin prevented Danielle from going into the temple, didn't he change the past? Because wouldn't she have gone in if it hadn't been for him? I don't know. Maybe I'm just making it all too complicated. Oh! And there's another name similarity: Daniel and Danielle. What's with all those name similarities anyways? Is that important to the series, or is it just coincidence?

I think you're right about the Jacob-Jack thing because Jack is a derivative of Jacob. So you're right there. There are also hidden meanings behind the names. Like if you look up the meaning of the names, that reveals a little more about the characters. Also, they use a lot of Philosophe, scientist, and author names. For example: I am utterly convinced Charlotte Staples Lewis has been to the Island before. Maybe it was her giggly delight as she splashed about in the Island's inland waters. True, the would-be freighter savior (or devil) could have been celebrating the mere fact that she had survived her harrowing arrival. But there was something more to her reaction — something that reminded me of another fantastical tale about an enchanted homecoming. The book is Prince Caspian, by C.S. Lewis, the sequel to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The story starts with a chapter called ''The Island,'' in which the Pevensie kids return to Narnia via a mysterious island marked by ancient ruins and odd creatures.
