Jesus was the Word "made flesh" (
John 1:14) taking upon Him our nature while remaining the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and died upon the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world. After His death He arose bodily and ascended into heaven and is now interceding as our High Priest until the time when He will bodily return in power and glory. (
