Well, we are all surprised she made it this long. Last weekend my great grandmother was taken to the hospital for a blood clot in her foot that quickly turned to gangreen. Because she is 93 years old, they would not operate, and if had a choice she wouldn't want them to anyway. She is now incoherant on medication without food while her body shuts down. I think she has been ready to go to heaven since my great grandfather died approximately ten years ago. The weirdness of the whole thing is that I am kind of excited for her. She gets to go to heaven, see her husband and God! Someone once told me that certain people view death as only the mid-part of thier life and that the other half only begins after death. I like that and think I will adopt that theory. In the end, I will miss my great granmother dearly, but know that she is ready, it is better for her, and God will do His will for her. JesseBelle
