a poem

HAVE YOU APOLOGIZED TO ANYONE TODAY?

Have you ever realized,
How easily we criticize,
Our words seem to flow like a river;
But when we apologize,
We begin to realize,
We must learn to be a forgiver.

How articulate I am,
When I criticize a man,
I formulate every word perfectly;
But I stutter and stammer,
Tell me what is the matter,
My apologies come out differently.

They're so unattractive,
We're needing more practice,
We spend too much time criticizing;
So little time is spent,
Learning how to repent,
And to repent isn't too appetizing.

While you may criticize,
I'm going to apologize,
I've done it and I did it in rhyme;
Dear God help everyone,
To apologize to someone,
To be willing to put in overtime.
