It's What I Do

So what do I do? Well first and foremost, I am a wife and mother. I also sing, teach, clean, and am secretary in my Church. I love working in my church. I love reaching out to people for the Lord. I also sing on a Praise Team for a ministry that feeds the homeless and needy of Nashville (check out my Pics Gallery). Every Tuesday night we meet under the Jefferson Street Bridge (yes, I said UNDER the bridge) to hand out food, clothing and most importantly the Gospel. We sing while folks are being served their meal. Then we all sit back and listen to some great preaching. After the service grocery bags and clothing are handed out. We also do this at area churches around the city on Thrusday Evenings, meeting at a different church every Thrusday, except the first Thursday of the month, that is prayer meeting night. Our church is one of those churches. On the last Thursday of the month we have between 250-300 people flood out parking lot to receive a helping hand. We have prayed with many people, and we are seeing God work miracles. We have seen healing, deliverance from addictive substances, broken hearts mended, families strengthened, we are seeing people helped out of the projects, we have seen Hope rekindled. We have seen God move in mighty ways. We have seen lives changed. Salvation is real and God is gracious. It thrills my heart to see men sober up during a prayer, children's faces light up when given a hug, mother's smile as their hope is refreshed that God does care.

So now you know a little of what I do. I reach out to people for Christ. That is what we are all called to do. You don't have to feed 300 people on a regular basis. But you do need to reach out to the ones God puts in your lives. Giving Hope to one person can make a huge difference in their life, but in yours as well. So reach out to day, be the Fathe's Hands and Feet. GO and REACH!
