Poem

I was just working in nursery the other day, I thought this was a cute idea.
{smell}[see](touch)’taste’

I looked out a window to glance at the view,

[a tree blowing softly through wind in the air

and grass strands are dancing together in pairs]

Then turned on the TV to see what was new.

<…was injured today in a horrible acc->

I turned off the TV so I could relax;

There’s no way to do that with such awful facts.

{apple pie wafting right up to my nose;

a river of smell that grows as it flows}

I ran to the kitchen to eat the good food

And reached for a piece before I got shooed.

(needle-like pain that hurts like a shot)

<Don’t touch that just yet! It’s still way too hot!>

I looked at the pie with gluttonous eyes.

[curls of steam fade out as they rise]

So I waited forever; it seemed like ten years!

But then came the time, and I let out three cheers.

’sweet apple goodness and just a small trace

of cinnamon speckles that greaten the taste’

Then when I was finished I picked up a book,

Pulled back the cover, and had a good look.

[...Hickory..Dickory..Dock...]

The mouse run up the clock.
