Amen...

Dec. 18, 2019 I'm doing an in-depth study of Romans by many different teachers. It is blessing my socks off!!! Being a Christian does not mean you don't sin. When we are yet unsaved, we have no choice but to sin. We are not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners. But, when we get saved we are free to choose whether to sin or not. And that, only when we are saved. As an unsaved person, you have no choice but to sin. Only when we put our trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, are we free from the condemnation or penalty of the LAW of sin and death. Sin no longer rules us! That is so freeing. The gospel is good news. It is the knowledge that God has made that sacrifice to freely give you eternal life. You cannot keep the law. We choose because our love constrains us. Not because the law tells us too. You just can't do it. Why would God give us something to do, without the ability to do it? It's common sense. We fail Him every day. Romans 7:15-20 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. That will never change until we are present with Jesus. So if that is true, then how can we be saved by the LAW. WE CAN'T! Does that now mean I have a free license to sin? NO!!! If you are saved you don't want to sin!!! You strive not to sin. You want to please God in everything you do. But I'm not doing it to stay saved. I am saved regardless of my sin. We still have to live in a sinful, fallen world. Common sense, people. But my sin has not separated me from Him, now I have free access to the throne of God. When I sin, I go to my God and I say: "God, I'm just as bad as YOU say I am. I love YOU, but I'm wretched. Forgive me. Thank You for saving me. And HE DOES!!! He forgives me. I am free from guilt and condemnation. I no longer am condemned by my sin because of HIS free gift to me. The gift of eternal life. He keeps me in the palm of HIS hand, and nothing can take me from that wonderful palm. Romans 8:37-39 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Gen. 1-2 Adam and Eve were created perfect in every way. Genetically, and spiritually. They lived in a perfect environment, created just for them. To nurture them in every good way. They had complete fellowship and communion with God, a complete utopian existence. They also had one law. Only one. Do not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They had their pick of every edible thing in the world, all their needs were met. One law. Did they keep that law? NO! In all their perfection, in all God provided for them, in the presence of the Most High GOD, did they succeed in keeping that one law? NO! So, now we, in our diluted gene pool, with our corrupted world held captive by evil. Can we keep the law? NO! God says NO! Therefore, we need a Savior. A Savior to save us from ourselves. Thank YOU, Jesus!!!
