Bethany Rae

Bio : I am Bethany Rae, I was born on the Island of Guam. As missionary kids, me and my four sisters were raised to bring God?s message through song. After leaving the mission field, my family settled in the mid-Michigan area where I reside today. Inspired by the music of Steven Curtis Chapman, I started writing poetry at the age of 11 as a way of expressing my heart for God. As an undergraduate in college, I began writing and arranging songs to sing with my sisters. After a period of personal trial, the music of Selah helped me reconnect with that heart of worship. In 2018, I remember sitting in my bed in my room and listening to ?Trust in You? by Lauren Daigle. I recognized that heart of worship and it unlocked something deep in my heart. The songs just started coming. At that point, writing became an act of discovery, reflecting the lessons God was teaching me. My first album, Captivated, is a collection of my conversations with God as I faced new trials, new adversaries, and new blessings. In writing ?Captivated,? the title track of my debut album, God gave me a deeper understanding of the depth and passion of His love for me. He also made it clear that this message was not just for me but for His entire Church. I decided to call my music Worship through Song. www.bethanyraeworships.com
