Best. Movie. Ever. I dare you to watch this and not laugh. It's so hilarious I can't believe I hadn't seen it before now.

It's both. It's a perfect satire of superhero comics. Over the top? Yes. Campy as heck? Most certainly. Self-aware? Surprisingly enough, yes. There's simply no way so much silliness could happen by accident. And of course, Adam West's melodramatic portrayal is key to its success. It's fast and colorful enough to keep your attention. I've seen a lot of movies that are supposed to be "so bad it's good" but are really just "so bad it's bad." This is the best possible kind of bad. It's so great I seriously want to own it.
