Personally, I think Breach is the best so far. Chris Cooper's performance as Robert Hanssen was worthy of an Oscar nomination!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and also Freedom Writers, even though that didn't actually come out this year.

1408 might be my new favorite movie of 2007 (so far). It's in a tight race with Die Hard 4.

Evan Almighty. It was really funny.

I think the best movie of this year was Sunshine. Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are geniuses.

You're not one of those guys that hates it just because it's PG-13, are you?

They did the same thing with AVP and it turned out to be nowhere near as good as the Alien movies. Not saying that's necessarily why, but it sure didn't help things.

Yeah, but Die Hard wasn't appreciably soft. There was still plenty of cursing and lots of violence. It was a little over the top, sure, but very entertaining and Bruce Willis was as bad ass as ever. And you can get away with a few F-words in PG-13 movies so he still got in his catch-phrase (albeit neutered a bit by a gunshot). Other than a clear "yippie-kay-yay motherf*cker" I don't see what an R rating would have added.
