metal is a very broad term. what type of metal do you enjoy? i'll list a few. extol - progressive death/thrash/technical metal antestor - black metal crimson moonlight - black/death metal benea reach - progressive death drottnar - technical/chaotic black (new stuff is at least) frost like ashes - black metal horde - black metal living sacrifice - old stuff: thrash/death metal new stuff: metalcore vardoger - viking/black metal immortal souls - sort of mellow black metal soul embraced - old: death new: nu metal a few bands i don't like, but if those bands don't appeal to you, you might enjoy some more listener friendly stuff. demon hunter - nu metal becoming the archetype - metalcore/deathy thrash metal zao - metalcore norma jean - metalcore old underoath - black metal influenced stuff if you want you can message me or something and give you more bands. i know of a lot of metal bands both christian and secular alike, some secular that is not really bad. i can hook you up no problem.

Three Christian metal bands I really enjoy are: Whitecross Bride Stryper All three play 80's metal (like the Metallica style, but with Christian lyrics) and have freaking awesome electric guitar solos and vocals! Check them out sometime!

POD is alternative rock with reggae and hip hop influence, and creed is modern rock. neither of them have very much metal influence. POD's older stuff, like brown, has some but now they are not very metal... in spite of having a former thrash metal guitarist join the band.

Of which i used to think they were..they had strongly denied even being one. They even take the Lords name in vain over and over again for part of the chorus in one of their songs.. Their most "Christian" song would probably be "My Own Prison"...and their song "Higher" isn't about getting closer to God...its mainly about Eastern Mysticism. I was quite shocked when i heard most of this too... Here's a video i found explaining it a little more... http://youtube.com/watch?v=SxbVd83DoLk
