i heart emo music. its awesome. but some of the bands i like are considered emo, but are really pop punk or something so dont flame plz kthnx. i heart: face to face dashboard confessional the get up kids reggie and the full effect underoath alkaline trio saves the day bright eyes the bled protest the hero cursive the promise ring rites of spring the juliana theory and my band, which is not an official band yet... we still need more members and a lot more practice... ...and a name. lol we can't decide whether to call our band sunday's theory, burning memory, falling world, or the promise unknown. which one do you guys like better? well so far we have two singers (me and courtney), two songwriters (me and my friend from neopets.com), and a guitarist (me--i play acoustic, but im not very good at it yet). and if we ever decide to use violin in any of the songs, my friend taylor could do that. but shes not a christian, and our band is christian (but im really the only dedicated christian in the band so far). shes wiccan, and no matter how hard i try, i cant get her to change her mind about witchcraft and wiccan stuff. so we prolly shouldnt use her...maybe courtney can do that since shes good. we still need bass and drums. and prolly someone who can play the electric guitar. well so far ive written about 10 songs, and im working on another with my new songwriting partner. the songs still need a lot of editing, and i need to learn how to play the guitar without sucking at it, so it will be a while before we finish with the tune and stuff. the songs started off as just poems, which im slowly making into real songs. if you guys have any advice for me, it would be much appreciated. thanks!! ^^' heart, sj
