God tests Abraham

Would it be a sin to sacrifice someone to God? Would God command someone to sin to test his faith? God told Abraham to sacrifice his son as a burnt offering to test his faith. Now, was this a test to see if Abraham would do whatever God said, or a test to see if Abraham would trust that God would not let him kill his son? What are your thoughts?

If you'll notice in the Bible, God stopped Abraham. Yes it is sin, but if God tells you to do it, you do it without question. This was prophetic/parallel thing in the Old Testament that propysies Jesus' death. Only, there was no stand in for Jesus.
