I'm studying some different things in the Bible-- primarily different types of love-- and came upon this: Matthew 19:9-12 ""...I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry." Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." What do you think this means? I'm confuzzled and can't figure it out!

i think what he is saying is that the only reason that you should divorce is for marrige unfaithfullness....which could be possibly broken down to many things such as cheating, lust, um.....i'm a little stumped to- i know that He wants us to not get divorces he would rather us work things out i think that that is what he's saying.......i think:huh:

I think she is referring to the latter part. I think He means what He is saying. Some people will be able to live without getting married; they have that ability. Others don't.

Or, if you know any Catholic mothers, they're pretty close. The moral of the story is 'Quit bugging them to get married and make you some grandbabies!'
