im going to be trying out for the school rock band next year and i cant really pick which song i want to play for the auditions. i thought id ask you again since you did help me settle the debate with my band name the teacher wants something technical, on the faster side, and a lot of bassing, but only with a single bass pedal. so i cant decide between stricken by disturbed, master of puppets by metallica, or when i come around or basket case by green day stricken has a lot of bassing in it (sometimes if i play it at the end of my jam session my ankle and calf hurts), and eventually turns into double bass at the end, but its only a 2 minute audition master of puppets is pretty fast but with very easy bassing, and some technical stuff when i come around is probably the most balanced out song for what the teacher wants. it has a lot of bass, moderately fast, and plenty of technical stuff in it basket case is just crazy fast and has some pretty good technical stuff in it. it also has decent bassing, but not as good as stricken or when i come around so yea. tell me what you think.....and ill tally up all the results every now and then

I agree with southerngirl; I think that When I Come Around sounds like your best bet.
