Okay, so for over a year I've been looking around [as well as my family] for a new church to go to. Every time my dad chooses a church, the youth program sucks, so I go and find my own youth group. Well, now I am going to this youth group called Colonial Baptist. And the people there are really nice, and the messages are pretty good I guess, but then today I went to this church called First Baptist, and I feel like that is the church I've always dreamy of attending. At the same time though, I have friends at colonial and don't know if deciding on First Baptist would be the right choice or not. I've been praying about finding a church for over a year now, and still nothing. Any advice?

Definately keep praying about it... if you feel really strongly about it like you said you do, and feel like God's pushing you to be there, then listen to him. Just because you made friends from another youth group, doesnt mean that you can't hang out with them anymore if you switch churches. Hey, you might even be able to go to both youth groups if they're at different times... then you'd have double the faith enriching experience:) just remember that you want to be part of a church family where you feel completely comfortable and accepted, and where you feel the compassion of God reaching through the people of the congregation towards you.

Thanks! My only thing is that if I did both youth groups, I wouldn't want to be in between. I want to have a permanent place to go for church, I'm tired of skipping around, ya know? I just feel like I'm stuck in the middle, I guess. I'll continue praying about it and I'm trying out the youth group of First Baptist [I tried out the sunday school and church service today] and then I'll think more about it.

I think I might have found my church. :] I went to First Baptist's youth group tonight with my friend Brittni and it was just refreshing to hear the message the pastor gave and the singing as well. <3 I absolutely LOVED it, and so did my friend Brittni. I'm gonna keep praying about it, to see if God wants me there or not permanently before I make a definite decision. :] Thanks for praying!
