Prayer for East Timor

Hey guys. As some of you know, I went to East Timor last September on a short term mission trip. This is an email we recieved from one of the two long term missionaries in East Timor. Prayers would be very appreciated. God Bless Beloved Peace be with you!! I write with great happiness. Because to speak of the Lord’s work always gives us great pleasure. Because to walk with the Lord, whether through valleys or over mountains mountains, always makes us know him more and more. It is certain that He gives us experiences with proportional depth, that truly can transform our lives. We are in a difficult period, with the church, because many are forbidden to attend the services. There are people who continue to intimidate us, with the intention of ending our Sunday Services. One Sunday, one of these people parked a truck in the church gateway, making access very difficult. But we managed to get in, and had a service that was full of the presence of the LORD. Also they are trying to prevent some teachers from giving lessons at our school. Two lady teachers have already left. In the past week, someone attacked the clinic sign with a machete. BUT WE KNOW THAT OUR FIGHT IS NOT AGAINST THE FLESH, AND THAT WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN HIM!! PRAY, PRAY. We are studying the book of Acts in Sunday School. The Lord has spoken lots to us through this book. It has the hope of the Church, the life in community with unity and much prayer. The church members are marvelous, like the early church. It is as if the LORD is manifesting himself with power and wonders. We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) I believe that the Lord will yet perform many more miracles and wonders in East Timor. PRAYER POINTS. 1) WISDOM, UNITY AND STRATEGIES FOR THIS NEW PHASE THAT WE ARE LIVING. 2) FOR OUR HEALTH AND PROTECTION. 3) THAT CHURCH MEMBERS WILL CONTINUE TO SEEK TO KNOW THE LORD MORE AND MORE. Brothers and Sisters, I want to thank you all again, for your companionship over the years. You all have been a blessing in our lives and ministry. My prayer is that we will be able to seek life as in the early church, of one heart and mind. United in Him. Love to all Branca.
