all i see with rappers is trying to be bigger and badder than the next guy. i see videos with supermodels, then the next one has even more. i see cars with rims, throwback jerseys, champainge bottles. and pitbulls. and all the videos are basically the same. some rapper rollin down the raod with his "girlfriend" and then they end up at some party with chicks in booty pants dancing all around all over the place. im just sick of it. o yea!!!! how can i forget those dance moves. every song comes with a dance move thats pretty much the same as another guys move (hey, kinda like their beats). one more thing: in how many songs do they say "lean wit it, rock wit it" or "get crunk"?

rap is more than sex, money, drugs and bad stuff. matter "o" fact; its really none of that at all (barely). raping is about life and thing people have gone thru. and if u cant exept it dont listen, shut up, and live your boring lives. dont judge.

I think what's he saying is that they're not rapping just to BE rapping about those things, but because that's what they see in their lives. But rap is really two separate worlds, like every other popular genre. There's the "mass appeal" side, which I would disagree with Snoop92, and say DOES rap about whatever they think is going to sell CDs. Three-Six Mafia, for example? Pointless nonsense. But I mean, take a good look at Tupac. You DO hear about violence in his songs, and yet he was never in a gang. You DO hear about drugs in his music, but he grew up in the ghetto, and it wasn't all about glorifying that stuff. You DO hear some contempt for authorities, but look at his family. His god-mother Assata Shakur, known as a black radical and member of the Black Panthers, was then framed when a New Jersey cop got killed. She was eventually broken out of prison, and smuggled to Cuba. (Now DAT'S Gangsta!) I like to think that after his supposed death, Pac went down there with her. But I digress.. yeah, Pac DID write he knew in life, and he wasn't doing it to sell CDs.

this is what i was getting at: take a look at D4L and their song laffy taffy. that whole song is about women in a bad way. also afroman with the high song "i was gon clean my room, but then i got high". i know theres a whole bunch more, but yes. most rappers make the music, if you want to call it that, to please the fans

At all. And it wasn't really glorifying drug use the same way some rap does. That song was just funny. And it did display that even pot has a bad side.
