Do you believe like the Jehova Witness that blood transfusions is a sin?

I dunno how many people here besides myself identify as "Messianic" but I certainly do not agree with it. *edit- "It" being the JW position* I believe we should give blood whenever possible, and would have no qualms about receiving transfusions. Gen 9:4, 6 equates blood with life. Is there a more precious gift one can give, or receive?
