it was confirmed yesterday that dale has hodgekins which i im pretty sure cancer of the limphatic system. he started chemo today. they think its treatable and nearly curable. the youth group were told about this last night and many of them took it really hard. can you pray for one girl inparticular, sam, she talked to me before and basically said she'd be lost if dale didnt make it, im worried about her. also please keep the doctors and his wife and family in mind. thanks for the prayers, we're trying to be positive and we're really learning how to trust god through all of this. im next going to see him on wednesday so i'll keep you posted. kezia

Dale is now back at home and having chemo once a fornight. I hope to visit him in 2 weeks when i get back from Chile. Thanks heaps for all the prayers!

an update on dale: hes still going through to rotorua every second week for chemo. the nausia (sorry about my spelling) isnt as bad anymore and theyr just taking one day at a time. im very concerned about one girl at youth group though, her name is sam. she was hit very hard by the news that dale has cancer. i talked to her on wednesday at youth group n she basically said shes angry at the church n youth leaders (which hurt me bad as im one of them) for not telling her and the rest of the youth the details and keeping it from them for about two weeks. i thought that was unfair because it was a personal choice from dale, it was up to him when the youth were told and until then only his family, close friends and a few people from church and the youth leadership team knew. a thing that worries me even more is that shes angry at god for letting this happen to dale. i was pretty shocked when i found out myself but i felt this peacefulness around the situation. i dont really know what to say to sam to be honest. iv been praying for her but yeah shes got to sort this out between her and god. maybe she should talk to dale and get him to tell her about it n stuff. does anyone have any helpful verses or anything? your prayers mean alot to me and my youth group! Hey guys well i have an update for y'all, Dale has finished chemo! *cheers* the thing is he has to go for radiation theropy in the next couple of months to "clear up the residue" left from chemo so if you could pray that would be awesome! im worried about how some of the youth will take it :(
