Bio : Born in California just days before Dwight D. Eisenhower was sworn into office, I moved to the Southeast with my parents when I was 3 months old. I was baptized by my grandfather, Samuel James Allen, a minister of the (then) Presbyterian Church of the US ("Southern Presbyterian"). I joined the church when I was a teenager, having professed my faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
I grew up to marry and we have four children, the eldest having gone to be with the Lord in 2001. I am a deacon in the Second Presbyterian Church of Greenville, SC (PCA). I am a graduate of Darton College (formerly Albany Junior College), the University of Georgia, Bob Jones University and Greenville Tech (the latter two being in Greenville, SC.
