Ventured out last week to the Superstition Mountains (AZ) in search of weather. While preoccupied shooting the Elvis Chapel I noticed a haboob approaching from the south. It was traveling at such a clip that I barely had time to locate a place and set up before it totally engulfed the entire front range of the Superstitions. Quite dramatic. I continued to fire away until the storm got right up on me and forced me into my car. Amazing to witness it up close

While on a photo safari in Africa we visited a good number of small, poor villages where the women seemed to be always busy at work while the men sat and observed. This particular woman gave me permission to snap a portrait while she was mudding a wall on her hut. I was captivated by the worn look in her eyes

Young – While hunkered down in a field of tall grass, this white-tailed fawn meandered toward me grazing and completely unaware of my presence. Then just as I raised my camera, it looked up, paused in a moment of surprise, and then turned and quickly bounded off to mom. Click here for printing options
