The rising generation possesses the potential to make an unprecedented impact in the world for the cause of Christ. Mission Baltimore provides the environment for potential to blossom into reality. Our strategy is to provide an atmosphere of transformational discipleship, practical hands on ministry training, and a quality college education that trains leaders for the context of their mission with God. Mission Baltimore is a 24 month residency program. The initial 12 months are dedicated to students becoming missional disciples. The second 12 months are devoted to disciples learning to become missional leaders.

A missional disciple is an emerging leader that learns to lead himself in communing with God; deepening in character; following God?s unique call; discovering New Testament community; and learning to engage the 21st Century culture. This is accomplished through establishing a personal foundation that consists of discovering one?s purpose for life while learning to practice the spiritual disciplines. In addition, one learns to lead himself in the disciplines of personal communion with Christ through the discovery of the depths of scripture and prayer. One?s foundation is deepened through the discovery of personal spiritual gifts and callings while learning to employ them in the emerging culture. This foundation is enhanced by a personal commitment to scripture memorization that leads one to learn individually to know and fulfill the will of God. The foundation is improved by training locally and abroad by church leaders and ministry veterans.

missional leader A missional leader is a missional disciple that has discovered the principles to lead himself and demonstrates the potential to lead others in their providential purpose. A leader whose life inspires others into communion with Christ; is a model of refined character; is clarifying his call; is leading in the New Testament community; and is inspiring others to engage the 21st Century culture. This is accomplished through a personal commitment to servant leadership. One?s life becomes an example of humility, obedience, and servanthood with the sole purpose of expanding God?s kingdom in the earth. An understanding of servanthood, foundational leadership laws, team work principles and skills are embraced by the leader to enhance his ability to add value to his team. The competent leader is trained to utilize his skills in the local church in a relevant matter that has great impact. Missional leaders are catalysts that bring Christ to the forefront of culture.
