Depression- by Noah Hebert

Pain hurts, it wounds us so
The pain of earth, we reap and sow,
Though time itself, away and shatter,
The people pass, nothing can matter,
And so i sit, in wait, in storm,
For loving embrace, care and warmth,
and though i sit forever more,
no one comes to fix my heart that is torn,
and in gloom and despair, i cry and look on,
but no shoulder is there to lay my tears on,
so i hold in my sadness and anger and hate,
there is something inside me that is in a checkmate,
i cant run and hide, so i stay in one place,
i admit with a nod, and i fall in black lace,
but the torment continues, as deeper i fall,
i fall deeper and deeper in darkness, recall
the unending pain, and the darkening abyss,
my smile fades away in the melancholy bliss,
my hands are torn, and my wrists are scarred,
the pain is unending, my cages and barred.
