The Integrity of the Word
The Word is God speaking to me.
God and His Word are one.
The Word is always now.
If the Word is always now, then God is always now.
Hebrews 4:12 The Logos of God is a living thing, active and more cutting than any sword with double edge penetrating to a very division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow scrutinizing the very thoughts and conceptions of the heart. (Moffat)
Verse 13 ? And no created thing is hidden from Him; all things lie open, exposed before the eyes of Him with whom we have to reckon.?
See, the Word of God is alive! It is at work and is sharper than any double-edged sword ? it cuts right through to where soul meets spirit and joints meet marrow, and it is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart. Before God, nothing created is hidden, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.
Messianic Jews (Heb) 4:12-13 CJB
There is no created thing hidden from Him, this Living Word.
The Living Word searches us out, finds us.
The Word is Our Contact with God
The Word is our contact with God the Father, and it is His contact with us.
John 16:7-10 ASV ?He convicts us of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement.
We Are Convicted by the Word
This conviction can come from no other source than the Word. It is a threefold conviction.
First, He convicts of our union with Satan: ? Of judgement, because the prince of this world is judged,? that the natural man is judged in Satan, is a child of Satan.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 8:44 KJV
Second He convicts of Righteousness, showing that although we are children of the Devil, Righteousness is available and belongs to us.
Third, He convicts of sin because we believe not on Him.
There is only one sin for which the sinner will be judged; that is the rejection of Jesus Christ.
We Are Recreated by the Word
James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Read John 3:3-8 The story of Nicodemus.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
The Word imparts to us Eternal Life. If it wasn't for the Word we would not know that there was a Redemption,or a substitution or a New Creation.
2Cor 5:17-18 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Our Minds Are Renewed by the Word
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Colossians 3-10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it.
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
If you don't act it, live it, and be a doer of it your mind is not renewed.
James says if we are not acting, living, and doing the Word then we are deceived.
We are Indwelt by the Word
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
let the Word of the Messiah, in all its richness, live in you, as you teach and counsel each other in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude to God in your hearts.
Colossians (Col) 3:16-17 CJB
What does the above verse mean?
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
?If you remain united with me, and my words with you, then ask whatever you want, and it will happen for you.
Yochanan (Jhn) 15:7 CJB
The Word spoken of in this verse is dwelling in us to produce fruit.
In the next verse it tells us that as we produce fruit (the God kind of fruit) then we bring glory to our Father.
John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
It is the Word bringing forth its own fruit in the believers life.
As believers we are to let the Word become an integral part of our life.
When choices present themselves we must ask ourselves what does the Word say about that?
Hebrews 10 :16-17 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
According to these verses in Hebrews God's Word has been written in our hearts and into our minds.
The Word must have first and final authority in our lives.
Ephesians 3:17 ? That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love??
Christ and his Word are one. So if the Word dwells in you then that is the same as having Christ personally dwelling in you.
Letting the Word have right-of-way in your life is letting Christ have right-of-way .
The Word dominating you is Christ in you.
WE ARE BUILT UP WITH THE WORD.
Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
He commends us to the Word of His grace. This Word builds the Christ nature and the love nature of the Father into us.
God is building Himself into us, making Himself a part of us as the Word dominates, rules and satisfies our spirit nature.
WE ARE HEALED BY THE WORD.
Psalm 107:20 ? He sent His Word and healed them.?
According to this verse it is the Word that heals us.
In Isaiah 53:4 ? Surely He has borne our sickness and carried our diseases (marginal reference) and we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted,? The Word has to become an integral part of us for it to manifest in our physical bodies.
He was stricken and smitten with our diseases and sins. And then the Word declares in the fifth verse, ?By His stripes we are healed.?
We need to take the time to read it and meditate on it until we are totally convinced that it is true.
Jeremiah 1:12 (ASV) ? I watch over My Word to perform it.? God will make good His Word in us.
Jesus in His substitutionary work on the cross took our sins, sickness, disease and pain, then that means that we don?t have to have them. They cannot be a part of us because He put our sins and diseases on Jesus. 2 Cor 5:21 ?... made Him to be sin on our behalf: that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
The righteousness of God cannot be sick and cannot be ruled by Satan.
We are Saved, recreated< healed and made masters of Satan by the Word.
Mark 16:17 ? In my name ye shall cast out demons.?
It is the Word that has taught us the value of the Name of Jesus and the authority that it carries and also our legal right to use that Name.
WE KNOW THE FATHER THROUGH THE WORD
John 16:27,28 ? For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.?
And John 17:23 ? That the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and lovest them, even as Thou lovest Me.?
John 14:23 ? If a man love Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.?
These three scriptures prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Father loves His children,as much as He loved Jesus, and that it is a joy to make His home with them.
What would it mean to have the Father and Jesus living in your home? It would insure the rent, the taxes, the power bills etc, because the Father would pay His way and enable you to meet every obligation. How intimate He wishes to become with us. (Matt 6:31-33)
FAITH COMES THROUGH THE WORD
