So here are two brand new songs, Whispers and Energy, one being a piano/strings idea, and the other a harder hitting, get-your-head-moving feel. both were a lot of fun and I learned a lot in recording/producing them, Energy is the first song I have been able to program halfway decent sounding toms with Reason, and also the bass/clean guitar bridge was a happy accident....I like it a lot.

Whispers is my first song that really is not guitar oriented....I am learning so much as to arrangement of these different string sections and wind instruments...I love the completely different feel of it from anything else I have done prior.....let me know what you think, all feedback is great and I hope to keep growing in the art of music making!

Worship As A Weapon

Thanks for checking out my music! I thought I would share a little about what Worship As A Weapon is all about:

Worship as a Weapon started as a group of songwriters out of Living Light School of Worship. Right now it is a songwriting project with people from all over the country. We play and write in a wide variety of styles, and hope to bring more styles in as songwriters are added. We believe christian music can be any style, from pop to hardcore, jazz to rap, each style reaches a different group of people. True christian music isnt about style, its about its purpose, pointing to God, offering hope in a world that has none. There is a serious need for quality christian music in many styles that are typicly dominated by secular artists. We want to see this changed, God created music and christian music should be the best in every way over anything the secular artists can create. We have the creator of the universe for inspiration, we have no excuse to not becoming the best we can at our instruments, voices, and songwriting. The more excellent and willing we become in using what God has gifted each of us in, the more God can use us to do quality work in building up the church. This is Worship As A Weapon, living lives completely sold out to Christ in every way and working hard to become the best God created us to be.

Worship As A Weapon Update 01-06-07

Alright time for the first update.....I am still looking for musicians to start a new project, or even a current band needing a guitarist in the Virginia beach area, so anaybody interested or know of anybody who might be interested in any of this, please let me know! 

Some new songs should be in the works soon, and I even have some people working on lyrics/vocals to My Hearts Cry so hopefully I will have more stuff up thats a little more complete soon.

If anybody has any comments/ideas or whatever about any of the songs, please let me know! I am working as hard as I can to be the best songwriter I can be, but to do that I need imput from some people, good or bad comments, anything, it all helps me become better!

I am also interested in working with anybody simply songwriting, even if we do not get a band going, I love writing with other guitar players, drummers, piano whatever, it always seems to make a song come out so much better when there are more people involved, so if this is you, let me know and we can work on some stuff sometime!
