Now that I finally got my top 20 favorite otaku list out of the way and finished, I've decided to go into another list that I would like to share. Anime intros. Yes, I do know that a lot of you have seen or read this kind of list over a million times, but now I believe its my turn. Hopefully, this might be the last list you will ever hear from anyone! I will only mention this once, and only once. So, here's my top 10 favorite anime openings. 10. Neon Genesis Evangelion As I mention from my top 20 greatest otaku, I still love the show, but still have some issues with it. The one thing I couldn't stand was the words to this song. If you have read what the words are translated, you will understand that its trying to tell you that the world is depending and pouring all of their hopes on the boy. They're talking about Shinji Ikari! Come on! He's a loser! However, if you forget what the lyrics are in English, you get to hear one heck of an epic song. If any of you have ever listened to the rest of the song, its even better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kFhPVAhV_o Now, the new movie on the other hand, I haven't got the chance to watch it yet. It's been on my list of movies to watch. So hopefully, I will get to do a review on it sooner or later. 9. Lucky Star I've never seen this show all the way through. I think its kind of funny, and enjoyable to watch. I only saw at least 2 episodes of it at least. But I can't resist this one intro. It's colorful, and so much is just going on at the same time. Its fun to watch and you can't get it out of your head once you start to listen to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViEH57xQu1c 8. Samurai Jack Don't get me wrong, I don't like American anime at all. And yes, that does include Avatar: The Last Airbender. But don't you dare try to make me go see the movie, just so you can see a review of it from me. But I do love watching this one show. Its still on Boomerang, and it still hasn't lost its edge. But I will admit, I love listening to the opening. I am never into listening to anime intros that has a rap theme to it, such as One Piece, but this one is catchy and very easy to pick up and learn from. It gets trapped in your head, like Lucky Star, and will never get away from you. I wish the show could have continued, but due to Mako's death, as some of you are probably familiar with from the Nostalgia Critic, the show was then canceled, and we will never get to see if Jack will ever go back to the past. For those of you who never watched this show, I say you go check this one out. You won't be disappointed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jgDEmW9nlU

7. All the Dragon Ball Z openings I couldn't pick one. I consider all of them to be a whole. Okay, only three intros. The original Japanese Intro, the English heavy metal intro and the Kai intro. And no, don't tell me that Kai doesn't count. Why wouldn't it? It's the same show, just without the fillers. I appreciate the English dub a lot on the original Dragon Ball Z, even though we see Master Rochi fight for some reason. It wasn't in the Japanese version, and that scene wasn't even in the show either. The Japanese intro also has a great song to listen to, and it's also epic. It's so epic, that it's even on the intro of every DBZ movie ever made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny1e8je-ZNQ&feature=related Even though the blue dragon on the title screen is weird, since its nowhere to be found in the show and it doesn't look anything like the magical dragon, it still serves itself as a great intro. The song for Kai is also catchy and the intro is awesome to watch. Just seeing the last scene of Goku and Vegeta fightint looks epic in HD! But I don't appreciate the English dub at all. It sounds pretty bad. If you don't agree with me, just listen to the big difference between the two. Here's the Japanese version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYMklIDsm64&feature=related Uuugghh. Here's the English dub: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knrOG5mE4lg It's like Rick Ashely was singing the song. What, was he trying to Rick Roll us through singing this song? I really don't have any respect for this song at all, as you can see. Now, I have seen and found out about the news of the crossover between Dragon Ball Z and One Piece. I don't know if Akira Toriyama has nothing better to do, and I have never watched or read the One Piece manga either, but I'm only hoping that the upcoming show will be worth watching. 6. The World God Only Knows This one was just recent. When I was in Bible College, I remember seeing one fo my friends reading the manga to it. I regrettably didn't read it, till I saw the trailer for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUIzq4jdrUA&p=AF41BB43C1B57A78&playnext=1&index=69 I thought that looked cool. That was till I read the manga, and it was kind of funny. I liked it. Then the anime came out, and it was just as good. Did the first episode followed accordingly to the manga? Kind of. But my anime club got a great laugh at it. But the one thing that blew me away was the intro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q61O1MLRdeU There was just no words that I can use to describe how great it looked. The music and the intro itself fits in perfectly to the show. The digital effects, the layout designs were pretty epic. As a matter in fact, this whole opening itself was epic. When I first saw this opening, I had to put this on my list. There's just no rejection or denial here at all.

5. The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk This is an intro that I really like. The first opening to The Tower of Druaga is such an enjoyable song to not just listen to, but to also hum to too. Once you first hear it, you can never resist singing to it. The animation to the opening is just genius. Seeing how these characters from a medieval times settings into today's time period fits in is very fun to watch. That, and the song is just great. If you haven't watched the show yet, check it out. You won't be disappointed for at least one second. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuQRgxy51NA

4. Code Geass OP #1 Of all of the shows that I was addicted to when it first came out, Code Geass was one of them. And then when I saw the intro, I was impressed. This is one of those openings that doesn't even need any explanation to understand the show. It gives it to you within a minute and 28 seconds. The pace of the song is great, and addicting too. I love listening to the whole song as much as I love listening and watching the opening too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGa0RCHhS8U

3. AIR I first saw this one in my anime club in high school 3-4 years ago, and I thought was a fairly nice and decent anime. The show itself is entertaining for a drama, and I thought was just good. I never finished watching it, and I didn't see through the movie that just recently came out in English. But the one part about the show that was truly amazing was the opening. Man, oh man, was it epic! I really can't come up with words to describe how amazing it is, even for a drama. It was so epic, that it even came out on 1080p. The music, the animation, oh heck, EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkmHPff-OSA&playnext=1&list=PLB4893817FC6BC1B8&index=61

2. Deathnote 2nd OP I think that everyone who has seen this show can agree that the first opening sucked. But I also think that everyone who has seen this show can agree that the second opening is way better, and far superior. The first opening sounded like it was just nothing, but wining and was made only for emos. The second opening actually showed us something that perfectly fits with the show, and its just awesome to listen to. There's nothing that can be hated about this opening. Its just epic. There really needs to be more intros like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcVGj-sdXw8&feature=related I know I make this look like this is my #1 favorite anime opening of all time, but #2 means that there's only one more left. And I will post it right now. 1.Great Teacher Onizuka openings 1 & 2 Yeah, I couldn't pick one. Both are incredible. These two are just fun to listen to, and both intros are amazing to look at. I really love how both intros shows us what the character is like. It tells us within less than 2 minutes. Another thing that I love about these openings is the animation. Its more like watching the evolution of movies. It starts off with black and white in the first opening. And the second opening is in full color. The song in the first opening has that kind of music that you would hear in the late 80's and early 90's, off from the coast of southern California, driving in the best red convertible car to drive in. Actually, it sounds more like something that you would hear from Miami Vice. Yeah, it has the same style to it. The second intro is more like you are in a concert, but not just in any other concert. It sounds more like you are in the best concert in town. The way how this song is being played will want to make you sing it. The way how it begins and ends is just fantastic. 1st opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCZ2DR80Xb0 2nd Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPiSerZLG5Q&feature=related That's my top 10 favorite openings. I hope you enjoyed looking through them as wel as listening to all of them.
