Romans 10:4

I'm interested in a particular statement of Paul's at Romans 10:4, but I think context is appropriate. 1Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. 2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7or "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:1-13 (ESV) Verse 4, "Christ is the end of the law." What is meant by "end of the law"?

The law is fullfilled in Christ. The law only could reveal our sin until Jesus came to redeem us from sin. See Hebrews 1-2 1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. There is nothing left to be revealed but what was in Christ. He is our final divine revelation. But this was hard to accept by the Jews because they were expecting a Messiah that would be a military leader not a suffering servant as described in the gospels (especially the book of Mark) They had no room in their Theology for such a claim. P.S- This is the first time ive been on My Praize in three years. it seems kind of dead....what happened? Im not trying to be a jerk about it or anything it just doesnt seem ALIVE like it use to be. Ya know?

The Law is not necessary nor sufficient for salvation. If you hope in the Law for salvation, you hope in vain. What I'm attempting to understand is what does "end of the Law" mean if the Law has not passed away? Maybe some think the Law has passed away; I'd respectfully disagree. For me, the Law is there for our benefit and it is to our righteousness, meaning it shows our righteousness-as opposed to making us righteous-to follow it. (I hope that made sense).
