It is all too possible that in the next day or so I may lose my beloved boy kitty, Zip. He is 16, will not eat or drink, and we cannot afford to take him to a vet. I plan to talk to where we normally take him and Boo, but they always require payment upfront and right now I haven't even got a dime until tomorrow, and that is only a couple hundred for the work I do with Mom for the state. I know he is a cat, but he is the closest thing I have to a child since I could not have any. Prayers needed...big time.

We took Mom to get her birthday dinner, and then we lit up her cake, which I had made and decorated earlier. She got to get all the foods she loves and usually can't eat, and is now watching movies on Netflix. She's a happy camper, which is all that matters today. :)

The infidel is not the one who respects and loves others regardless of faith...he is the one who is left in the cheap seats.

The vet called me this morning to let me know the result of the extensive blood panel they did on Zip. It turns out he has Hyperthyroidism, possibly due to a nodule on his thyroid, is anemic (though not severely, thank God), and has some issues with his kidneys that will require a change in his and his sister's diet. Both Zip and Boo are from the same litter and have the same parents, so Boo is also starting to display some of the same symptoms as Zip is right now. Dr. Steve felt that if we change Zip's diet due to his kidneys, it would be best to also change Boo's since both Kidney and Thyroid diseases can be genetic. Today I will be picking up Zip's thyroid meds and new food for both him and Boo. It will run about $100 for it all, but it is a cost I am glad to pay for the chance of seeing my boy and girl return to their usual active and happy little fur-butt selves. Keep up the prayers for both my fur babies, please! Prayer always helps, and thank you all for your prayers so far!

And this cross would have been very cool and ready to place in a wall design if not for the little bit of Zip's cat hair that floated onto the bottom of it despite me trying to keep him away from the table!

Fun with polymer clay today! A little varnish and these can make nice pendants!

Also these little green trees

It's coming close to Christmas! And with that in mind I have began working on making Christmas themed fun stuff like these little trees. Aren't they really stinkin' cute?!

Just finished this pendant, though it cracked while I was polishing after patina. I'll try it again and make the oeandant thicker next time. I call it the Spirit Pendant. I plan to make more sculpted pieces like this one.
