Alarie Fink

Ya know, just when you think life is hard the devil will throw something else at you.  I was having an awesome life and in one day i lost my two best friends.  On January 1st, 2007 my best friend in the whole wide world was ejected from her truck in the dunes in palm springs, cali.  i still have a hard time accepting that it really happened.  I can remember being in the car with her and my friend saying "Man Nicole what are we goin to do when you graduate?"  her exact words were "I'm just going to college... not dropping off the face of the earth!"  that sticks in my head so bad that i don't know what to think.  You never know what life is going to give you. 

Later that night i talked to Casey and i knew what i had needed to hear from him, some kind of comfort but he did not provide that.  We ended up arguing and having a fight... which ultimatly ended in a breakup.  That was the hardest thing for me because Nicole had died and my boyfriend and i broke up, i thought to myself that there is no one left to love me... that i could not talk to anyone about anything.  how could i trust anything in this world to be real and stay with me? 

 it was then that one of my youth leaders had text me and said to me that everything will be ok because no matter what, you cant trust anything in this world but you can always count on jesus. this has been what i have set my life on now and i say it when things get tough and i feel like giving up.  now its just a faith thing, i have to praise god in the hard times, no matter what happens, i always need to thank god for everything and everyone he has blessed me with.
