It has become apparent to me that my friends who are girls always pick the wrong guys. So, I thought about it, around 95% of guys are jerks, pigs, total losers, or all of the above. Guys like me, the nice guys, who are appreciated as "brothers not boyfriends", well there are very few of us left. What is going on, like since when as society said it's ok to mistreet a woman. Just like Nathan said, "We are the last of a dying breed".

Due to the pure boredom of summer, I've had many oppurtunities to think about many different issues. One of them is potential careers. Many of my friends know that I can't quite decide what to do. Sports commentating, sports coaching, missionary work, or going into seminary to become a pastor. Most people know that I am not always the most sure of myself. If you've ever gone and hung out with me, you know I can't decide where to go or what to do. And i'm not exactly fearless, you will know that if you are in my outdoor education class. I was recently reminded, that in whatever you do, you need confidence. In basketball if you shoot, and think, I might not make it, 90% of the time you won't make it. You have to know you'll make it. Faith...is how we live...or are supposed to live. And in whatever you go in to when you choose your career, you have to believe you can do it. Faith and Fear can not live together.
